A spontaneous link is a vote of confidence that is given to a web resource by virtue of its quality. The spontaneous link is contrasted with the artificial (non-spontaneous) link which is instead purchased or produced artificially. In the universe of link building we can include the practices of link earning and link baiting , which respectively mean earning (deserving) and attracting links from other websites. I already talk about it systematically in the article where I explain how to obtain links correctly. Although for some, link building is the practice (deprecated by Google) in which backlinks or incoming links are produced only artificially , as described in the article dedicated to link building that doesn't work , others also include links within the discipline of link building. non-deceptive practices aimed at "attracting" links from outside. Schools of thought, as always. Attract spontaneous links If you read my blog you know that I am not so fond of definitions, but of the substance of things.
From my point of view, a good link builder is not the one who already knows where to go to get the links he needs, but the one who plays on two factors: – A good resource - Public relations If a link is a vote of confidence, this vote must serve to build authority , because in the long run it will be authority that is rewarded by Google, not simply popularity . If popularity is a question of numbers, authority is linked to the quality of the website from which the link comes. A "classic" link builder will look for websites to which they can propose often mediocre guest posts to obtain a link, or the Denmark Telegram Number Data classic websites that resell links for 20 euros, or at most they will build a small (or large) network of themed websites to where to start them. This way of doing things only serves to obtain a "large" link profile... but large does not necessarily mean "good". How a real link builder works Walid Gabteni , who we interviewed last Friday from Paris for The Uolching Fatt ( watch the video ) has produced a resource , a really interesting SEO software and presented it in SEO communities around the world, obtaining loads of incoming links, of those good.
Spontaneous? Yes, because Walid only presented his software, sometimes perhaps insisting a little that he write about it, but without departing from the logic of real networking. His real goal was to win the contest called SEO Hero . That's why she named his software that way! By doing public relations from a good resource, Walid managed to get lots of links to exact anchors from multiple countries around the world. Instead of asking if those are artificial or spontaneous links, he looks at the reasoning , which is completely different from that of the link builders I talked about in my article last week. That said, Walid doesn't disdain the more black-hat practices, those that lead to having a completely artificial link profile, but he knew that in this case they wouldn't make a difference. When the stakes are high, the tricks remain zero. The tricks, not the " talk ", those can count.
